Home Automation System - OpenHAB 3 - 02. MQTT Test Part 1 [Versione in italiano]

by Marco Lamanna

Here we are at the second video about the migration from OpenHAB v. 2.5 to the new release 3 (you can find the previous video here /en/blog/1/iot-smarthome/post/2020/11/home-automation-system-openhab3-initial-setup.html)

Before starting with the actual migration, I am doing some general functional tests, also to get involved with the new system modeling concepts, introduced by this new version.

In this video I will configure a switch, using MQTT, to control a "tasmotized" SONOFF, currently already integrated in OpenHAB v. 2, which will drive a light.

The configuration takes place via MQTT communication, a protocol widely used in the IoT field.

This video does not pretend to be a tutorial. The hope is that it will help someone.
